Major fundraising boost as nursery staff get down to earth for charity

Radmoor Day Nursery staff at Loughborough College got down to earth to ensure they gave a major boost to charity.

The team faced five kilometres of obstacles for Cancer Research’s Race for Life ‘Pretty Muddy’ Leicestershire at Prestwold Hall.

“More and more of us join every year and for 2017 there were ten of us taking it on,” said Radmoor Nursery’s Danielle Hill.

“It wasn’t a race but there were so many obstacles. Despite it being quite sunny there was a lot of sludge and with all the puddles we were freezing.

“I don’t know about pretty muddy, I think it should be re-named ‘absolutely muddy’ – but it was actually really good fun.

“Eight of us from the Nursery and two others all completed the course and we are thrilled at the support we’ve had.

“We have raised more than £1100 for Cancer Research UK.”
